For You: Tree Identification Cards (Mason inspired)

If you saw the post on what we take on our nature hikes, we don't have much room for anything else in our backpacks. I am going to print these tree identification cards onto card stock, laminate them, punch a hole in the corner, and attach them together with a key ring. If the kids were older, they can write information on the back...such as the location and date they located the tree.

I like how they have a map so that way I know not to include trees that don't grow in my state. I am planning to add additional trees in the coming weeks. I am inspired by Charlotte Mason, so the leaf and tree images are from an 1800's field guide.

I hope this inspires you to get out and do nature study with your kids!

These look awsome! Thanks for taking the time to upload them to Scribid. I have printed several of your ideas and use them with my kiddos. :)

Awesome idea! I just wish you had some for England, where I'm currently living! Maybe I'll just print these out and save them for next time we're home.

Oh how I wish I had seen these when my 10 year old and I were learning to identify trees and flowers. I love them.

Before you take my images, you'd better ask me first. I request that if, and when, you use my information and pictures, you provide proper credit and citation. A link back to my blog is nice, too. I love to give permission to really nice people. In fact, I have never said no. If you steal anything from my site, I get to be mean to you. Really mean. And I am smart enough to catch you being sneaky, too.
