Paint Like a Cat

Today, Little Snail wanted to paint with her cat. What's more precious than your child, sitting on the kitchen table, painting with her cat, and singing, "You Are My Sunshine?"

I set up some watercolors in an ice cube tray for her:

After painting for a while, she says that she wants to "paint like a cat." She puts the brush in her toes, and begins to paint. I ask, "Why does a cat use their toes?" And she says, "because they have four feet. They don't have fingers." I guess you are right, Little Snail. You never stop amazing me!

You might have to look hard for this, but she got the paint brush and painted on some blue eye shadow. I have no idea where the diva comes from. I don't even wear makeup, except for lipgloss! Hmmm... she must get it from her Aunt Snail.

Brother Bear decides to join in her fun...

Water colors in an ice cube tray is pure genius! I've never heard of that and it's a great idea.

So cute!

At least the blue eyeshadow looks good on the Little Snail! My girl "stamped" her lips blue with ink from a stamp pad!

By the way, I love the photo of the snails in your blog header. I want my kids to paint too, when they get big enough to know that paint does not go in one's mouth. It's such a fun, colorful activity for kids.

Adorable! My littlest one (age 2.5) pretends she's a cat all the time and follows our two kitties around the house all day. I think we'll need to paint like a cat soon : )

Before you take my images, you'd better ask me first. I request that if, and when, you use my information and pictures, you provide proper credit and citation. A link back to my blog is nice, too. I love to give permission to really nice people. In fact, I have never said no. If you steal anything from my site, I get to be mean to you. Really mean. And I am smart enough to catch you being sneaky, too.
