Fine Motor Skills: Marble Game

Little Snail invented a little game today with marbles. She began by putting marbles into a small soda bottle. She played her game for an hour and then I suggested she use a spoon to put the marbles in the bottle. This was much harder and took a lot of fine motor skills because the marble rolled around on the spoon.

In the middle of her game, Granddaddy Snail came by and taught her how to play marbles the old fashioned way.

The uses for marbles are endless! When T went to VBS a couple summers back, they had two kids swimming pools, one filled with marbles, and the kids picked the marbles up between their toes and carried them from one pool to the other. Every since then, all marbles somehow wind up in between his toes!

Great Idea! I have a ton of marbles no idea what to do with them. Thanks!

I'm a sucker for close-up pictures of chubby toddler hands. Makes my heart melt. She was concentrating so hard!

Before you take my images, you'd better ask me first. I request that if, and when, you use my information and pictures, you provide proper credit and citation. A link back to my blog is nice, too. I love to give permission to really nice people. In fact, I have never said no. If you steal anything from my site, I get to be mean to you. Really mean. And I am smart enough to catch you being sneaky, too.
